About Us

Established in August 2021, Délicieux Chocolat is a small chocolate business based in Marsden, West Yorkshire, founded by award-winning chocolatier, Reece Hunt. Reece was named Young Pastry Masterchef of Great Britain 2015 and has been a UK & Ireland Junior Chocolate Master Runner-up on two occasions (2015, 2018). He has gained years of experience working with reputable companies across multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Food retail, hospitality, and more.

 

With over 10 years of experience, Reece decided to launch Délicieux with three questions in mind:

  • How can we support cacao farmers better?

  • How can we make top-quality chocolate more readily available?

  • How can we do this whilst ensuring sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do?

Our Vision;
"How can we support cacao farmers better?"

We strongly believe that you get what you pay for. For us, the answer to the question is simple - cacao farmers deserve to be paid more fairly for their crops. At Délicieux, we are aiming to work more directly with cacao farmers. Our goal is to provide farmers with greater respect, a greater deal, and greater rewards. Also, the tools required to nurture their incredible cacao. Without cacao farmers, we would not be able to offer the incredible products that we have available. More importantly, we would live in a world without chocolate - imagine that!

"How can we make top-quality chocolate more readily available?"

We are utterly enthralled by top-quality cacao and we want to share this with our customers.

By working with other businesses we can help achieve this goal on a greater scale. We aim to educate customers further by offering workshops that will allow customers to work with chocolate firsthand and learn a little more about where this magical product originates and how it is produced.

Our Responsibility
“How can we do this whilst ensuring sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do?”

At Délicieux, we believe by preserving the land, respecting cacao farmers, and continuously monitoring our supply chain, we can all enjoy chocolate in a much more sustainable manner. For example, almost all of our packaging is 100% recyclable. We avoid the use of plastics wherever we possibly can. This includes everything from our mailing boxes to our chocolate bar packaging.

We take pride in our decision to only work with like-minded businesses.
